The reason I ask is that these are chambered for 7.62 NATO and are sensitive to the pressures just like a Garand is sensitive to .30-06 other than M2 ball. .308 can have higher pressure and given that the rifle is chambered and headspaced for 7.62 NATO, commercial .308 is not a good idea. I only fire 7.62 NATO in my M14S and also my Ishapore 2A. The Ishapore is not due to pressure concerns, but headspace. Gregory_K 8/17/2009 8:26:15 PM ae150 is fine out of a M1A. Especially since we just introduced a new load just for the M1A. Also, a buddy of mine that used to work in engineering/ballisics at Federal thought GMM would be appropriate for my M14, but not AE. Which sucks, as I have so much more commercial than surplus due to my job. I guess I have to bite the bullet and buy a boat load of mil surp to have enough to shoot out of my M14. MackUSMC

Adjust the Aimpoint so the dot sits in top of the front sight post. This will result in a zero the same as your irons. I prefer 50yds. but isnt that for an absolute cowitness? mine will be lower 1/3.
